RETURN POLICY
If the kitten/cat is returned to the cattery within 30 days after the date of purchase, the Breeder will refund $250 only.
After 30 days, if the Buyer can no longer care for the kitten/cat, the Breeder agrees to accept the kitten/cat back without any obligation to refund the purchase price.
If the kitten/cat is found to be a poor fit for the Buyer’s household, the Breeder will replace the kitten with another equivalent kitten at the Breeder’s discretion, excluding transport fees or expenses incurred while in the Buyer’s care.
The Buyer must allow adequate time and effort for the kitten to acclimate to its new environment before considering a return. The Breeder will provide necessary support for the transition. Returns are always at the breeders discretion.
CONDITIONS OF SALE
The kitten/cat will be spayed/neutered before reaching breeding age (maximum six months).
A breeding fee equal to twice the price of the kitten will be charged if the kitten is not altered.
TICA registration papers will be provided upon receipt of spay/neuter documentation to the Buyer.
An administrative fee of $50 will be charged for paperwork at the time of registration.
The kitten/cat will receive proper care, including fresh food, water, litter boxes, and human interaction. A scratching post and toys will also be provided.
The kitten/cat shall receive annual veterinary examinations and not be denied veterinary care.
The kitten/cat is not permitted outside except on a leash (under supervision) or in an enclosed run. It will not be caged or kept in an unsuitable environment or kept separated from the main household.
The kitten/cat will not be declawed. If the kitten/cat is declawed, the Buyer must surrender the cat immediately and pay a penalty of $5,000 to the Breeder.
The Buyer shall not give, sell, or lease the kitten/cat to any animal shelter, research facility, or commercial entity. The Breeder must be notified first if the Buyer cannot keep the kitten/cat.
If the kitten/cat is neglected or mistreated, the Buyer will surrender the animal to the Breeder.
Unauthorized Breeding: If the Buyer breeds the kitten/cat without the Breeder's written permission and proper documentation, the resulting kittens will be considered the property of MoonKitten Ragdolls. The Buyer will owe MoonKitten Ragdolls the current market rate for the kittens and must return any kittens to MoonKitten Ragdolls.
HEALTH GUARANTEE
The Breeder guarantees that the kitten/cat is healthy at the time of sale (to the best of knowledge), FeLV/FIV-negative, and free from life-threatening illnesses, infections, and parasites. This guarantee is valid for 14 days from the purchase date. Exposure to sick or unvaccinated animals will void this health guarantee.
The Buyer is encouraged to take the kitten/cat to their veterinarian within the first 72 hours (at Buyer’s expense). If any illness is detected that existed prior to the sale, the Breeder must be contacted before any major treatment (except in emergencies).
If the kitten/cat dies from a condition pre-existing sale, the Breeder will replace the animal with an equivalent quality kitten as soon as one is available. The Breeder's total liability shall not exceed the purchase price listed in this contract.
The Breeder guarantees that the kitten/cat is free from HCM, MPS, and PKD for three years from the purchase date. This health guarantee will not be honored if ownership changes.
NOTIFICATION OF VETERINARY EXPENSES
The Buyer agrees to notify the Breeder in advance of any veterinary expenses incurred after receiving the animal, except in emergency situations. The Breeder is not responsible for unnecessary expenses incurred for procedures performed without prior consent.
DEFINITION OF EMERGENCY
An "emergency" is defined as a situation requiring immediate veterinary attention to prevent serious harm or the loss of life of the animal.
