At Moon Kitten, our kittens’ health and wellbeing come first. Every breeding cat is genetically tested, and we never breed from lines that have produced FIP or other hereditary concerns — so you can trust the robust, resilient health of every kitten we raise.

We keep our queens’ litters carefully spaced, never asking more of our mothers than they can comfortably give. Every girl is different — we take the time to understand each one’s mothering style and capability, and shape her breeding career around her personality. Some girls adore motherhood, and for them we make sure to keep their careers shorter, always prioritizing their comfort and happiness over anything else.

All of our cats live in-house, with full access to our home and to secure, enclosed outdoor “catios” attached to the house. Our stud males are managed with the same care, brought in under controlled, diapered conditions to protect the health and safety of our resident females. Occasionally, we’ll partner with a trusted outside cattery to introduce new bloodlines, ensuring healthy genetic diversity across our program.

The result: kittens raised in a loving, low-stress environment, backed by a breeding program built on transparency, ethics, and genuine care for the cats behind every litter.
